I have been a speaker, an activist, and a healthcare professional for over 23 years. I helped launch the Louisville Grassroots Teaparty, and served as the VP until answering the call to public service. As a wife of 20 years to Paul, and a mother of two wonderful children, Lauren and Wesley, I am deeply concerned about the direction of this country.
I have been a critical care nurse at the Regional Trauma Center at the University of Louisville Hospital for 23 years. As the wife of a small business owner, I understand first hand the struggles that Kentuckians are living through in this tough economy. We know what it means to live on a budget, make sacrifices, and make tough choices that real Americans have to deal with every day.
My economic vision for both Louisville and America is to keep taxation low, where businesses can thrive by creating and saving jobs. Lower taxes also mean that you keep more of your hard-earned money in your pocket to spend as you see fit. This creates strong economies both locally and nationally. And in this way the government spends less, citizens produce more, and they are less dependent on Washington, DC. Louisville has always been one of the nation’s best kept secrets. We have a beautiful town, with many amenities, and an affordable standard of living. I want to help keep it that way.
I have been committed both personally and professionally to help save lives, whether born and unborn. My passion now is to help preserve the American way of life that our country has been blessed with for over 200 years.
